Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated
This Acceptable Use Policy explains how you may and may not use the 2.71 Service. It works alongside the Terms of Service, which it does not replace. For the full list of content that may not be generated, see the Prohibited Content Policy; this policy focuses on how you use the Service and Outputs, not on what may appear in them.
By using the Service, you agree to follow this policy. Violating it may result in warnings, content removal, loss of Coins, suspension, or permanent termination, as described below.
1. Eligibility and your account
You must meet the eligibility requirements in Terms of Service Section 1 to use the Service. Each person may hold only one account. You must provide accurate information when you register, keep it current, and keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for all activity on your account. You must not share, sell, lend, or let anyone else use your account, and you must not create a new account to evade a suspension or ban.
2. No circumventing moderation
Every prompt is screened before a generation runs, and reference images are screened for detected faces that may belong to a minor, as described in Terms of Service Section 7. You must not attempt to defeat, trick, or probe these systems or human review, including by:
- rewording, misspelling, using code words, foreign-language terms, or other obfuscation to get a blocked prompt through;
- splitting a prohibited request across multiple prompts, characters, or generations;
- editing an allowed Output outside the Service to recreate a blocked result; or
- otherwise trying to make the Service generate, or determine what will make it generate, content that violates the Prohibited Content Policy.
A short summary of the biggest prohibitions: content that sexualizes or depicts anyone under 18 in any form, sexual or sexually explicit content of any kind, content depicting a real, identifiable person without their consent, and content that is otherwise illegal. The Prohibited Content Policy governs the full ruleset and any edge case, and Terms of Service Section 6 also applies.
3. No unauthorized or automated access
You must not access the Service using bots, scrapers, or other automated tools; generate content in bulk through scripts or third-party automation rather than the Service's own interface; reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's software, models, or weights; or probe, scan, or load-test our systems without our prior written permission.
4. Respect the Service and other users
You must not interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' access to it. If you make a character public, it is subject to this policy and the Prohibited Content Policy like anything else, and you must not use a public character, or any other feature of the Service, to harass, impersonate, target, or intimidate any person.
5. Coins, accounts, and access are not transferable
Coins, accounts, and access to the Service are personal to you. You must not resell, transfer, rent, lend, gift, or trade Coins, an account, or access to the Service, and you must not buy or acquire any of these from another user.
6. Lawful and honest use of Outputs
You are responsible for how you use your Outputs. You must not use them for an unlawful purpose, or to deceive, defame, harass, or extort anyone. You must not present an Output as an authentic photograph or recording of a real person or event, or otherwise pass synthetic media off as real. Where the law where you are requires you to disclose that content is AI-generated, you must make that disclosure; you must not remove watermarks or otherwise misrepresent an Output as not AI-generated in a way that violates such a law.
7. Intellectual property
You must have the rights to any reference image or other Input you submit, and your use of the Service must not infringe or misappropriate anyone else's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights. See Terms of Service Section 8 for how we handle copyright complaints.
8. Reporting violations
If you believe someone has violated this policy, or you want to report content or conduct, follow the Complaint Policy or email legal@271.dev. We acknowledge reports within 7 days; reports involving apparent minors or other illegal content are actioned within 24 hours of verification, and other reports are decided within 30 days, longer for complex cases.
Reporting and complaint channels exist to flag genuine problems. You must not submit a report or complaint that you know to be false or misleading, or misuse these channels to harass another user or to get legitimate content removed without cause.
9. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this policy and take action at our discretion, including a warning, removing content, restricting features, suspending your account, or permanently banning you, as described in Terms of Service Sections 7 and 13. Coins are forfeited if your account is suspended or terminated for a violation. Deliberate attempts to violate this policy, including anything involving apparent minors, may result in an immediate permanent ban without refund, and we may refer the matter, along with the relevant evidence, to law enforcement or other authorities. See the Content Moderation Policy for how moderation works.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page, and continued use of the Service after an update means you accept it.
