Prohibited Content Policy
Last updated
This Prohibited Content Policy explains, in detail, what you may not create, upload, request, or share on 2.71. It expands on Section 6 of the Terms of Service and is the reference our other policies point to when they describe prohibited categories.
This policy applies to everything you submit to or generate through the Service: text prompts, reference images, character names, descriptions, and persona text, public character listings, and the images and videos the Service produces for you ("Outputs"). We refer to all of these together as "Content."
1. This list is not exhaustive
The categories below describe the Content we prohibit most often, but they are examples, not a complete list. We may block, remove, or refuse to generate any Content at our sole discretion, whether or not it is specifically described here, and we are not obligated to explain an individual decision.
2. Prohibited categories
Minors
Any depiction of a person under 18, or a person presented or appearing to be under 18, in a sexual, nude, suggestive, or fetishized context is prohibited without exception. This applies regardless of art style, including anime, cartoon, or other stylized rendering; regardless of claimed age; and regardless of "aged up," "petite," "childlike," or similar framing used to suggest youth. Sexual or suggestive Content set in a school or other youth-coded setting is also prohibited. Prompts that are ambiguous about a person's age in this context are blocked outright.
Sexual content
Content that is sexual, pornographic, or sexually explicit in any way is prohibited, regardless of the people, characters, or context involved. This includes nudity, sexual acts, and content that eroticizes or fetishizes real or fictional people.
Real people
You must not create Content that depicts, names, or is otherwise intended to represent an identifiable real person, including celebrities and other public figures, private individuals, and former partners, without their consent. This applies whether the person is identified by name, by a photograph used as a reference image, or by a description detailed enough to identify them, and it includes deepfakes and face-swapped images. Outputs on 2.71 are synthetic; see Section 3 of the Terms of Service.
Violence, self-harm, and harassment
Content depicting extreme gore or torture, content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders, and content designed to threaten, degrade, or harass a specific person is prohibited.
Hate, terrorism, and extremism
Content that glorifies terrorism or extremist violence, that uses extremist symbols in a glorifying context, or that dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is prohibited.
Illegal activity
Content depicting or promoting drug manufacturing, weapons, fraud, human trafficking, prostitution or escort advertising, or solicitation is prohibited.
Intellectual property
Content depicting a copyrighted character, trademarked branding, or a licensed likeness that you do not have the rights to use is prohibited.
Misinformation and impersonation
Synthetic media presented as an authentic photograph or recording of a real event, political disinformation, and impersonation of a real person or organization are prohibited.
Other unlawful content
Content that otherwise violates the law of your location is prohibited, along with any other Content we determine, in our discretion, to be harmful or inconsistent with the purpose of the Service.
3. Enforcement
We enforce this policy in layers: every prompt passes through an automated content-policy check before it runs, uploaded reference images pass automated age estimation, and flagged Outputs, public characters, and user reports are reviewed by our team. Every blocked prompt or image is recorded with the account, the reason, and the time, which we use to detect patterns and to respond to enforcement or legal requests. Violations move through an enforcement ladder, from a warning or block for ambiguous first attempts to suspension or a permanent ban for deliberate attempts; any attempt to create sexual content involving minors results in an immediate permanent ban with no refund, and we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. For more detail, see our Content Moderation Policy.
4. Reporting and appeals
If you see Content on 2.71 that you believe violates this policy, email legal@271.dev with a description of the Content and where to find it; we acknowledge reports within 7 days, act on reports involving minors or trafficking within 24 hours of verification, and decide other reports within 30 days. If your Content was blocked or removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may appeal once, within 30 days of the decision, to legal@271.dev; a person who was not involved in the original decision will review it. See our Content Removal Policy and Complaint Policy for the full process.
